Risk Management & Valuation
Risk management and loss prevention surveys are an important part of the services offered by us. We carry out such surveys for clients on a variety of industrial risk including assessment of EML, hazard analysis and recommendations for risk improvements.
Risk inspection surveys generally relate to fire, explosion and allied perils and machinery breakdown Insurance. Most specific perils can be addressed if required. A typical fire insurance survey can involve considerations such as climate, local environment and exposure, process hazards, maintenance and inspection, loss history, value at risk, EML, assessment of risk and recommendation. For risk improvement, a machinery breakdown survey on the other hand, concentrates on the condition, life, availability of spare parts, operating conditions, maintenance standards and inspection of specific items of machinery such as boilers, generators, etc and review of turn-around reports.
The assessment of plant and machinery on indemnity or reinstatement value for insurance purposes is also part of the services provided by us both in relation to risk surveys and to risk management exercise. The level of details in a valuation can be tailored to the client's requirement ranging from a simple assessment of value at risk to full scope assignment as detailed above. Once such a survey has been carried out, it can be revised on an annual or bi-annual basis in conjunction with the site engineers and requiring a short check of any additions or alterations in the assets of the Industry.
Our personnel involved in this work have considerable experience from a broad spectrum of engineering' disciplines, maintenance, repair and safety. They are in a position to advise on reinstatement values keeping into consideration the local environment. Petrochemicals Plants, Power Plants, Chemical process units, Paper, Sugar, Cement, Textile, Food Processing, Electrical and Electronic Installations are among the assignments handled by us.
